Soaring through the air
At The speed of sound
engines working frantically
above the dusty ground

engines are humming
closer every minute
almost bursting our ear-drums
at the sky,s limit

a gloster javelin rushes past
its wing span 52 feet
camouflaged cover coverring
the engines rising heat

this glorious machine decends
leaving the sun filled sky
wheels emerge from beneath the wings
the end of the flight is nigh
